I also experienced top notch service from Lance the chef while hanging out at the pool. He was kind, patient, friendly, and before I knew it, the key was in my hand and the room was booked. I walked in to inquire out of curiosity because I had never been inside the hotel and the amazing customer service by Omar Johnson sealed the deal. Required masks only occurred in Atlanta during our May 2021 journey over 5 states including the rest of Georgia. Note: This hotel is still requiring masks indoors that may be an Atlanta thing. The hotel served its purpose but missed the mark of Marriott standards for sure. I have no idea what she said but she made it known she was ready to clean our room 2.5 hours before checkout by knocking. The most annoying thing, and it is super annoying was at 9:30am WITH the “Please do not disturb” hang-tag on the door, an employee speaking zero English knocks on the door with her clipboard and says something.

The beds are comfortable, and the room appeared clean. Minimal breakfast offerings still but they tried. The next gentleman (younger, tall thin build but not wearing name tag) spoke only the bare minimum words “need picture ID” and “Do you want to use the credit card on file? Never mind. The first gentleman to check us in said all the appropriate things like “welcome”, info on breakfast, thanked us for being Marriott Bonvoy gold members, etc. We stayed one night twice on a long road trip this month. This is NOT like any other embassy suites. The website boasts made to order breakfast in numerous places but they don’t have it. If they run out of orange juice do not expect anyone to refill it. Want a waffle, you’re going to wait longer. Breakfast is a complete joke, expect to wait no less than 30 minutes for a plate. No, I’ve been at the pool waiting there have been no towels. So dripping wet I walked across the hotel only to be told, she did take towels. Was told 20 minutes that towels were drying. Our first day we went at 4PM and we were told they were out of pool towels for the day? Umm what? Second day no towels again, I asked again.

Going to the pool? Good luck getting a pool towel. Finally at 8PM on my fourth request and when I refused to leave the front desk until I got towels did I finally get towels. At 5 PM when I still had nothing I made another request.
